Robert M. Parker (Wine Advocate): 94 Punkte This wine is more backward than I would have normally expected, but nevertheless, it is very impressive. The 2010 Branaire-Ducru displays an inky bluish purple color and loads of mulberry, raspberry, black currant, graphite and floral notes in its intense aromatics. Medium to full-bodied , with sensational ripeness, purity, texture and length, the tannins are slightly more prominent than I remember from barrel, but they are sweet and ripe (as opposed to astringent and bitter). This beautiful wine needs 4-6 years of cellaring and should keep 25-30 years. Producer Patrick Maroteaux continues to fine-tune and turn out a succession of brilliant wines from this chateau, which sits across the famous Medoc Route du Vin from Beychevelle. Genussreife: 2017-2047 Weinwisser (René Gabriel): 17/20 Punkte Tiefes Purpur. Genussreife: 2018-2045 JAMESSUCKLING.COM (James Suckling): 92-93 Punkte Love the fruity and chocolate character here, with lots spices and nutmeg. Full and velvety with soft tannins and a long finish. Wine Spectator (James Molesworth): 92-95 Punkte This has guts, offering dark fig, plum and cocoa notes carried by velvety but substantial tannins, with a very long, smoke- and plum sauce-filled finish that has well-embedded acidity. Decanter (Steven Spurrier): 17,5/20 Punkte Lots of depth and already showing fragrance and complexity, perfect concentration and refreshing, harmonious length, another great wine from the château on top of its form. Genussreife: 2018-2030

Ein MUST BUY, gehört der Wein doch zu den Top 10 des Jahrgangs 2016. Delikatesse in ihrer pursten Form. Dunkle, dichte Frucht, betörende Süße. Breit und stoffig am Gaumen. Jeder Schluck ein Genuss! Wine Advocate: 94-96/100 Punkte ´´The 2016 Malescot-St-Exupery has an opulent, lavish and pure bouquet with billowing black cherry and blueberry fruit, a touch of mint and graphite emerging with time. I love the delineation to this Margaux. The palate is very well balanced, sensual and voluptuous in style, but that does not detract from the fine structure here and the precision towards the finish. Everything seems to be in its right place here; it is one of the best Malescot-St-Exupery that I have tasted and it is wonderful.´´ Trinkgenuss: 2022-2050 James Suckling 98-99/100 Punkte ´´This is a superb wine. I didn´t think it could be better than the 2015 but indeed it is. Full, layered and sexy. It goes on for minutes with dense fruit, yet it´s also vivid and showcases sublime tannins and acidity balance. Great finish.´´ Wine Spectator 92-95/100 Punkte ´´A layered, ripe style, with warm ganache and tobacco notes set over a lovely core of plum sauce and blackberry fruit. A licorice edge on the finish rounds this off. Enticing and polished, with a sanguine hint adding range.´´ Vinous: 92-95/100 Punkte ´´The 2016 Malescot Saint Exupéry is superb. Powerful, virile and inviting, yet with tremendous balance for such a young wine, the 2016 captivates all the senses. Smoke, licorice, incense and a host of more soil-driven notes give the wine its signature aromatic profile. Malescot Saint Exupéry is a decidedly muscular Margaux, but the extraction also seems a bit dialed back.´´ Wine Enthusiast: 92-94/100 Punkte ´´This estate is really improving. The wine in this vintage is full of fragrant fruit, with the tannins making a fine backdrop to the juiciness. It´s going to be a fine medium-term wine.´´ Decanter: 93/100 Punkte ´´Some coffee bean smudges across the nose give this a sexy, appealing edge right off the bat, followed up by chewy tannins that manage to hold the by rich, deep, beautifully extracted fruit without smothering it. This is one of the fuller expressions of the vintage, no question.´´ Trinkgenuss 2027-2050 Weinwisser 18/20 Punkte ´´Frisches, seidenes, komplexes Bouquet, Erdbeeren, Himbeergelee, Heidelbeeren, Schiefer, Minze. Eleganter, dichtverwobener Gaumen mit samtener, fein muskulöser Struktur, kräftiger, frischer Frucht, vielfältiger Aromatik, langer, duftiger Abgang.´´ Trinkgenuss: 2024-2038 Bitte beachten Sie die Sonderbedingungen der Subskription in unseren AGB.
